Take 2 strings and lie them parallel to one another (This will be the two colours of your Skoobie.)

Take a third string and lay it under the other strings in the middle of strings one and two but going in the other direction as if making a cross shape.  (This string is the piece that would act as a chain on a necklace.  You will not need to use this string until you have finished.)

Tie a knot in the third string.

You are now ready to make a Skoobie.

Hold all four pieces of strings 1 and 2 so you have a cross shape.  Remember to ignore string 3 until the end.

Cross the bottom right string over to the left leaving a small loop. (The loop is to help hold everything together).

Cross the bottom string over to the top.

Cross the left string over to the right.

Cross the top string over to the bottom ensuring you place this through the loop you made at the beginning.

Pull all the strings to tighten up the Skoobie.

You will see that you have made a square.

Keep the cross shape.  Cross the left string over to the right ensuring again that you make a loop.

Cross the bottom string up to the top.

Cross the right string over to the left.

Cross the top string over to the bottom ensuring you thread it through the loop.

Pull strings tight.

Repeat step 2 then step 3 from the beginning and continue to do this until you have approximately 4cm of strings left.

Once you get to the end tie knot in the loose end.

To make a keyring: thread the ring through the Skoobie where string 3 is.
